    1 Victorian Vulcanite Cherub Ring Winged Cherub Cameo 100+ Years Old in 925 Prong Ring Size 7 1/2 OOAK Victorian Ideal of Womanly Innocence This is a beautiful black cherub ring! Exquisite molding of Charming Victorian Cherub! All I did here was replace a plain stone with a beautiful late 1800s cherub in a vintage 925 prong ring. Both are in good condition, cherub is nearline 150 years old not mint. Please zoom pictures. These pictures are greatly enlarged for you to see detail.
    Ring face is 7/8" x 7/8" raised 3/8".
    I am very Pleased to be able to offer such a rare lovely! Angels or cherubs represented the Victorian ideal of childlike or womanly innocence. They were very much favored by Victorians.
    . This antique cameo itself if made of Vulcanite. Vulcanite of rubber & sulfur was Developed by Charles Goodyear (1800–1860) . This material can be molded when warm & cool becomes hard.
