    This Nov. 27,1863 letter from Charles D. Garlick Co. I 8th Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry on Patriotic Letterhead is to his Dear Parents. I have left the hospital and returned to my Regiment but am not on duty. Capt says they may put me in the invalid corp pending examination decision of the examining board when they come around.  Been writing letters for Captain. Tell George to have mercy on the squirrels and muskrats. Tells what they cooked for Thanksgiving Dinner etc..This Patriotic Letterhead is unlisted in Wolcott and is very rare.  Camp of the 8th Regt. The letter  is in nice condition.  The ink is a little light. Shipping includes insurance.
