    Written July 21 1864 by William G. Hammond of the 50th Massachusetts.Signed Corporal Will . Written at Fort at Clark’s Point New Bedford.
    He writes that he is well and so are the rest of the down town boys. He has just been in the water and changed clothes that are rather dirtying. The other bundle of clothes belongs to Chas.
