I have a long history in the fragrance industry and am both a member of the International Perfume Bottle Association (IPBA) and an avid collector of vintage and antique scents. My items are smoke-free and guaranteed authentic.
Up for immediate purchase is this elegant, profoundly rare, antique 1920s,
roughly 10 to 15 percent full, made in France, guaranteed original and authentic, Le Jade extrait splash housed in a dainty 0.50-ounce (1/2 ounce or 15ml) crackle glass bottle with oval crackle glass stopper by R
oger & Gallet Paris. It stands approximately 2.75 inches (9cm) tall.
All photos were taken in natural light at
40x magnification
to best highlight overall condition. The buyer will receive the exact item pictured.
This bottle fully retains both its front and base (Grand Prix) labels as well as its two-cent import stamp at the back. All are in excellent condition with extremely light wear/aging. The stopper is frozen and will be left for the new owner to free, if desired. The scent whispering from the neck of the bottle is quite lovely and the extrait is in liquid form with no crystallization. It is extremely rare to find these bottles with any remaining contents.
Originally launched in 1923, Le Jade is classified as a green chypre scent with top notes of bergamot, lemon, lime, orange blossom and neroli; middle notes of galbanum, jasmine, oakmoss, and patchouli on a base of ambergris, civet, sandalwood, vetiver, Tonka bean, musk and vanilla.
