    Description

    Civil War patriotic cover, with black Magnus-like design of a Steamship flying a large American flag at the stern.  Pencil notations on the back identify the ship as the "Star of the West" - the first shots of the Civil War were fired on her when she attempted to resupply Fort Sumter in January, 1861.
    A scarce design.
    Unused.
    Small mounting remnant on the backflap, small handstamp of a previous owner on the back at the bottom right corner. Fine.
    The backflap is not stuck down.
