You are bidding on a SCHMID 30th ANNIVERSARY 18” Tall MUSIC BOX Based On The 1959 release of Walt Disney’s Feature Film SLEEPING BEAUTY.
This very attractive ceramic figure of Sleeping Beauty captures the mature temperament of a very pretty woman.
Largely animated by Marc Davis (one of Disney’s Nine Old Men) the flowing elegance of Princess Aurora makes her the perfect person for Prince Phillip to immediately fall in love with. Marc Davis also animated Maleficent in this Sleeping Beauty Feature.
Sleeping Beauty was in production for about a decade & cost million, the most ever spent on an animated film up to that time! It was the last of the great classic fairy-tales to be filmed by Walt Disney.
Sleeping Beauty stands an impressive 18” tall, 9” wide & 9” deep and will certainly be a centerpiece of attention for any collection. Aurora’s beautiful face, piercing eyes and long flowing hair only enhance her admiring pose. This Schmid Music Box plays the Sleeping Beauty Waltz and has a working “on/off” toggle. As 1989 marked the 30th Anniversary of the original release on Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Film in 1959, this wonderful ceramic figure was issued as a LIMITED EDITION of only 500 pieces!
