for Hendickson wet flies you separate a section of the feather that is even & uniform and these will retain a broad shape even at the base after the fluff is cut off, so these can be used as a wing or flat wing style of streamers; Hornburg fly pattern looks like fake / imitation water insects & minnows that are in rivers, streams, & fresh water creeks; mulitfunctional the round tipped feathers with the broad flat top are great for DRY FLY WINGS & pointed tip feathers are useful as fake wings and/or layered or matched with another feather making flat wings a WOOD SPECIAL! Good for use in Hareline Dubbin & jigs. You will find these really useful for making all types of flies as the use of these are only limited by your imagination!
