Description
24K Gold Plated miscellaneous 1863 Gold Greenback series, lovely replacement for the original.The reverse of the notes were printed with green ink, and were thus called "greenbacks" by the public, being considered equivalent to the Demand Notes already known as such. These Notes were issued by the United States to pay for labor and goods.
OBVERSE:
Vignette spread eagle, Red seal of the Department of the Treasury, In Green also in Black large value numbers, signatures of the Register and treasurer of the United States.
