    Nice LARGE COLLECTION of 10 Different ORIGINAL Unused Antique CIVIL WAR COLOR PATRIOTIC COVERS/ENVELOPES
    DESCRIPTION:
    Really great, and very unusual collection of 10 particularly nice, unused antique Civil War PATRIOTIC COVERS (ENVELOPES). Virtually all of them are fully, brightly colored. ALL HAVE REALLY NICE PATRIOTIC OR POLITICAL THEMES OF THE DAY.
    These were especially popular during the early years of the war, 1861-62, with both civilians and the soldiers writing letters home from the field, before the grim realities of the war set in.
    All have great patriotic or comical themes pointing fun at the Confederacy, Secession, John Bull, or Jeff Davis specifically. Scans show them all. QUITE A NICE VARIETY. And most of these are brightly colored which are much less common. These are all unused. Several even have the publisher or printer on them! THIS LOT IS PARTICULARLY NICE.
    Just as they came from an early collection, and in excellent condition.
    They
    would make a great and unusual gift for that special collector. Nice for a collection, for display, or perfect for framing.
