Description
This Hunter R52 vintage ceiling fan is probably from the mid-late 1940s. It appears to have been either factory or owner refurbished at some point (badge is covered in black paint). The unusual grape leaf bottom plate has a gold or brass finish. The C-style hangers look like there is white paint under the black finish, they may not be original. The switch and wiring are not original, not sure when they were replaced. Transformer still has original cloth wiring spliced to the new wires. Fan motor is tested and operates smoothly at all three speeds. It was partially dismantled to clean up the interior and inspect/photograph bearings & shaft (I did not remove the magnetic motor assembly, so there will still be some dust in the upper crevices). Two of the blades have cracks near the hangers (see last photo). Motor housing shows general wear from age and use. it has a short downrod with a homemade welded hanger on top. Original ceiling cap is missing. I don't know the history of this fan, and I can't find anything quite like it. I don't know what parts are even original, so please inspect the photos for details and to grade cosmetic condition. It has been thoroughly cleaned, but bearings/shaft have not been serviced, and it has not been tested fully assembled with blades attached. Be aware it may need some attention prior to everyday use.
