    Description

    Offered for sale is a beautiful 8 inch serving bowl in the "Moderntone" pattern of 40's, 50's, 60's Glass.  This type of glass is called Platonite and it is fire colored.  I identified this pattern in the book "Collectible Glassware from the 40's, 50's, 60's" by Cathy & Gene Florence (10th edition, copyright 2010) on pages 139-145.  The color of the bowl is pink and it is one of the pastel colors offered in this pattern.  This glassware was manufactured by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company from 1940 until the early 1950's.  There are many colors to mix and match in this pattern.  I have several other pieces of this pattern offered for sale in my eBay Store so please take a look.  The bowl measures 8 inches across and stands 2 1/2 inches tall.  There is no rim on this bowl.  The bowl is in PRISTINE CONDITION with no chips, no cracks, no discoloration...  You will be delighted with this piece.  Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.
