Beautiful perfume bottle designed by Pierre D’Avesn for Houbigant – Paris. Houbigant launched this fragrance in 1939. This is a transparent solid molded and cut crystal bottle, with attractive irregular shape with cut crystal stopper…bottle probably made by Verreries Brosse or Pochet. It has the original label in very good vintage condition ‘TRANPARENCE HOUBIGANT PARIS’ and the original sealing string with metal seal with embossed ‘H’ logo. To the back it has the retailer’s paper label, an important shop those days… and tax stamp. It is in excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks whatsoever. It has not been washed so it has rests of the original perfume, see pictures please. Paul D’Avesn was surely one of the most important French glassworker for molded glass Art pieces with Lalique and Sabino. It measures about 2 ¾” high by 2 7/8” across to the widest point, it weighs 3.21oz or 91 grams.
